Although the Normandy Invasion is considered to be the iconic amphibious operation, these tactics had been put to use earlier in North Africa during Operation Torch. Camp Gordon Johnston Museum is located at 1873 Hwy 98 West in Carrabelle. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am – 5 pm. There is no charge for admission. Funded in part by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council. For more info: (850) 697-8575 or campgordonjohnston.com.
